Lambs

The spring 2006 lamb crop consists of lambs sired by two
outside rams. The first is Sheltrng Pines King Arthur and
the other is Underhill Jasper. Both of these rams were on
lease from Gail Former, Underhill Farm.
Arthur is a modified black ram with a majestic presence and
impressive horns, He has a moderate, crimpy fleece with
good handle. Bred to grey, white and moorit ewes, he has
produced black, moorit, and fawn offspring. Lambs appear to
have moderate crimp and are uniform in appearance.
Jasper is a grey katmoget. His pattern is expressed as
black legs, underside, front of neck, and head with grey
around the eyes and ears. He has a super tight crimpy
fleece that looks like 'mini' dread locks. When bred to
black, grey, white, and moorit ewes, he has produced solid
black and brown as well as moorit, fawn and grey katmoget
patterned offspring.
Both of these sires contain UK imported semen genetics and
therefore will help increase the genetic diversity in your
flock. There are outstanding rams and ewes available from
both these sires.
