Ewes
Our flock
began with stock purchased from Lofty Pine. Recently, I
have added ewes from Amazing Grace and Underhill Farms. We
have beautiful greys, solid dark moorits, blacks, white,
and several islet patterned ewes. Current goals include
continuing with the solid moorits, producing solid blacks,
and some of the modified colors, as well as spots and
katmoget patterns. As always, correct conformation, type,
and balance are the foundation upon which we build. All of
the ewes exhibit 'good' mothering instinct, easy lambing,
and produce adequate milk for singles, twins and even
triplets!
The girls enjoy attention in the form of chin scratches and
chest rubs and know their names. Sitting on a bucket in the
field with them requires multiple hands.
