The girls of Lancien Kennels started with Cedarbar Never On Sunday, Sissy. Sissy was a blue merle color headed white and the dam of Mac and Meghan (Brigadoon's Maid Meghan). From her began my tail female portion of the pedigrees. Sissy is in basically all of the pedigrees of the Lancien dogs in one way or another. And her descendants shall carry on the tradition.
Current young hopefuls start with Maria, Lanciens The Abby. Maria's dam, Karastar The Sound of Music (Liesl) was purchased from a good friend and fellow breeder, Joann Carruba of Karastar Shelties. This outcross has helped to solidify some head detail and continue enforcing structure, balance and movement.

Another young girl is Paige, Lancien Pilgrims Progress, who is a full sister to Louie , as well as Patrick's full sister Ellis, Lanciens Lady Liberty.
The older matriarchs that are retired include Lancien Lady of the Lake (Viv), Lancien The Lady Elaine (Laney) and Lanciens Moonlight Blue (Icey).
With the help of like-minded breeders, Sherri and Lisa Harler, and Joann Carruba, Lancien Shelties occasionally does continue to produce quality litters. And since we can't keep everything-periodically we do have puppies available.
